Richard Edward are specialists in delivering high quality print solutions and unique in working with clients to manufacture card based products for use in games, toys, promotions and education; delivering to a UK, European and Global client base.

The company operates a 32,000 square foot plant in South East London and employs over fifty staff. As part of a recent major investment in technology, Richard Edward installed both a ten-colour and a five-colour machine, with coater, from MAN Roland. These new presses produce high quality print at very high speed, and to assist with this, an Eco-Mist humidification system from Humideco was installed to ensure consistency of air humidity levels, throughout the press room environment.

The Eco-Mist system maintains the relative humidity at 50%rh, the optimum level for sheet fed printing. At Richard Edward, the system comprises of an air sampling humidity sensing unit, EMCU control unit and EM20 fan units, for powerful, yet virtually silent operation. "We’ve been impressed with the reliability of the system" stated Richard Edward Managing Director, Kevin Scott. "Since the installation 12 months ago, the system has run continuously, without fault."

Eco-Mist systems provide a low energy, low maintenance, totally hygienic  humidity control solution for the printing industry. Problems such as edge curl, feed and delivery difficulties and other static problems can be overcome, allowing higher speeds to be achieved.
